As a Cumming Georgia newborn photographer, one of my favorite things to capture is the quiet beauty of in home newborn session — the real life moments unfolding inside the space where a family is learning each other.
Some sessions feel like catching up with old friends.
I first met Alexis and Trent during my Christmas minis in North Georgia, when their brand new baby girl, Wrenley, was only a few weeks old. She was tiny and brand new to the world, and we captured those first quiet moments of them settling into life as a family of three.
A few weeks later Alexis reached out again about doing a sweet in home newborn session in Cumming, Georgia once things slowed down a little.
Of course the answer was yes.
There is something incredibly special about photographing a family in the space where their real life is unfolding.

By the time I walked into their home in Cumming, Georgia, Wrenley was about two and a half months old.
No longer brand new, but still very much in that tender newborn season.
Her little personality was already starting to shine.
There were sleepy snuggles with mom, proud dad moments, and the sweetest little smiles that would appear out of nowhere.
But the true star of the show (besides Wrenley, of course) was their sweet pup.
She had recently undergone surgery and Alexis and Trent honestly weren’t sure if she was going to make it. Including her in these photos mattered deeply to them.
And she absolutely made sure she was part of the moment.
She kept sneaking into the frame, curling up close, and gently checking on “her baby.” It was the kind of moment you could never plan but never want to forget.

Their home was filled with the most beautiful natural light, which is every North Georgia newborn photographer’s dream. Soft light poured through the windows and made the entire session feel calm, warm, and peaceful.
The nursery was stunning in the most understated way.
Earthy neutral tones, soft textures, and just enough girly details to make it feel like a dreamy little space for a baby girl. And Wrenley’s closet?
Let’s just say… I may have needed that closet for myself.
Everything about the home felt intentional, cozy, and welcoming — the perfect setting for lifestyle newborn photography in Cumming, Georgia.

Alexis and Trent kept their outfits beautifully simple.
Both wore white shirts and jeans, styled casually and comfortably, which allowed all the attention to stay on their connection with Wrenley.
Wrenley wore a soft little one piece outfit, perfectly fitting the relaxed and natural feel of the session.
The simplicity worked so well with the neutral tones of the home and nursery, creating a gallery that feels timeless rather than trendy.
These are the kinds of sessions where the magic isn’t in perfectly posed moments.
It’s in the quiet ones.
Dad holding Wrenley close.
Mom rocking her gently.
Soft kisses on her tiny head.
Little baby smiles that appeared between snuggles.
And of course, their sweet pup making sure she was never too far away.
Those gentle hugs, tiny smiles, and warm moments together are what made this gallery feel so heartfelt, intentional, and homey in the very best way.

If you’re newly engaged and dreaming of photographs that feel warm, nostalgic, and deeply meaningful, I would love to walk alongside you.
Your Cumming Georgia Newborn Photographer
In home sessions hold a kind of magic that can’t be recreated anywhere else.
They freeze time exactly as it is — the nursery you decorated with love, the couch where you rock your baby to sleep, and even the dog who believes the baby belongs to them too.
Years from now, these photos won’t just remind Alexis and Trent what Wrenley looked like.
They will remind them what life felt like in those early days.
As a Cumming Georgia newborn photographer, I believe the most meaningful images are the ones that capture the real, everyday love unfolding inside your home.
And those are the moments worth remembering.
