Maternity photos in Lawrenceville, GA as a Lawrenceville Maternity Photographer

As a Lawrenceville Maternity Photographer, I’ve learned that some of the most meaningful sessions carry stories far deeper than what you see in the frame—and this maternity session at Prospect Farms is one I’ll hold close forever.
Some stories don’t make sense on paper, but they make perfect sense in God’s hands.
This maternity session at Prospect Farms is one of those stories.
What most people wouldn’t know is that this mama-to-be is my ex-husband’s wife. But she is also my best friend. However, our relationship didn’t begin here. Over time, it took humility, forgiveness, and a lot of prayer to get to where we are now. Even so, God brought us together in a way only He could. What He built between us is steady, rooted, and unshakable.
Now I photograph their family. I’m present at holidays, birthdays, and milestones. Their girls and my daughter don’t see “his” or “hers”—they see sisters. This is something I never wished for, never imagined, and could not have orchestrated myself. And yet, it’s one of the most beautiful gifts God has ever given me.

From the moment you arrive, Prospect Farms feels like a deep breath. Open skies, quiet fields, and rows of sunflowers that seem to glow as the sun starts to dip.
As the sun began to dip, the light was warm and gentle—soft enough to feel nostalgic, strong enough to wrap everything in gold. The sunflowers stood tall behind her, full and alive, creating the perfect backdrop for a season that is already changing.
Because of this, as a photographer, I pay close attention to how light and emotion work together. This night felt calm and sacred.
A reminder that growth often happens quietly before it ever blooms.

The deep burgundy dress from We Are Reclamation against the sunflowers was everything. Rich, bold, and grounding—such a beautiful contrast to the golden yellows and soft greens of the farm.
Simply put, color matters. In fact, it shapes how an image feels long after the day has passed.
Sunflowers + burgundy = warmth, depth, and intention.
As a result, it added a quiet strength to the images. One that reflected the story behind them.
Ultimately, this session wasn’t just about waiting for a baby. Instead, it was about honoring how far we’ve all come.
In that moment, standing behind the camera, I felt gratitude in every frame. Gratitude for redemption. For answered prayers. For a family that looks different than I once imagined, yet feels fuller than I ever thought possible.
Watching her hold her belly, knowing the journey it took for all of us to get here, was deeply humbling. Proof that God doesn’t waste pain. He changes it.

The ones where she’s standing still, sunflowers framing her, hand resting gently over new life. The ones filled with quiet confidence, peace, and anticipation.
Those are the images that will carry this story forward. The kind you come back to years later and say, “Look what God did.”
Whether you’re expecting a baby or standing in a season you never planned but now cherish, your story deserves to be told with honesty and heart.
As a maternity photographer, I believe the most meaningful photos aren’t about perfection—they’re about truth, connection, and the beauty God weaves into our lives.
